About

Sanctum Raglan

Sanctum Raglan is a garden wedding venue and boutique studio accommodation venue. Owner Karen Morrison-Hume is also a registered marriage celebrant and can marry you anywhere throughout the Waikato including at our own venue.

Our story

What started off as a paddock 6 years ago is now a place to come to the quiet and enjoy nature...

Located approximately 5kms east of Raglan Whāingaroa town centre, Sanctum Raglan sits on a harbour inlet at Okete Landing.

Owners Karen and Charles purchased the property in 2018, relocating from Hamilton to enjoy the coastal lifestyle. Back then it was just a paddock with no planting or structure.

Over the years, Karen and Charles have carefully crafted thoughtful garden spaces including a Cairn Garden and a Japanese themed garden. Various artworks are dotted throughout the property to help you connect with nature and stop to take a breath.

"We wanted to create a homely, relaxed and beautiful place where people can come to the quiet and reflect on where to from here. Sanctum is a place of special occasions, with gardens that have meaning. It is a place of quiet that makes meaning through garden and location."
